Wan Shu is a Scots-founded character taking a slant on all things Chinese proverb-related.

Wan Shu may look like an ancient eastern wise man (and he probably is) but the name derives from One Shoe, a real-life street character who was full of conventional wisdom but was a heavy drinker and was always seen with one shoe missing. Or, as he used to say, “I don’t have a shoe missing – I gained one.”
