A 34-YEAR-OLD mum-of-five was recovering in hospital last night after she spent two hours trying to log out of Facebook, it has emerged.
Emergency services told Dafty News they deployed four units to a property after neighbours became concerned about the woman’s well-being.
One local, who wished not to be named, said: “The lady’s work colleague had warned her about internet security over a mobile phone and instructed her to log out of Facebook before going to sleep at night.
“She has complained before about Facebook being a bit slow to log out of. Sometimes she has to switch her phone off then put it back on again to allow her to be able to log out. It must have been very stressful.”
Medics at the hospital where the woman is said to be in a stable condition said: “A 34-year-old Facebook user was admitted to our hospital in the early hours in a distressful state due to a Facebook incident.”
It’s not the first time a patient has been admitted to a medical institution. In September 2016 a Twitter user was sectioned at a local psychiatric unit after he spent the best part of four days trying to figure out how to reply to a mention on his account.
